History
The Cala de Bou library is located in the municipal multipurpose premises at Carrer des Caló, 127. It started as a center linked to the Network of Libraries of the Insular Council of Ibiza in 2008, then led by the Association of Neighbors of Cala de Bou and es Port des Torrent, until in September 2018 the Sant Josep de sa Talaia Town Hall took over. Since then and up to the present, the Cala de Bou library has been managed by an external company, Estudi 6 Serveis Socioeducatius.
In June 2022, a request was made to unlink this center from the Network of Libraries of the Council and it became a municipal public library, just like the ones in Sant Josep de sa Talaia and Vicent Serra Orvay in Sant Jordi de ses Salines.
