The card is free and can be obtained at any library. You must fill out and download the application form that you can find on the website or request it at the library. In addition to the form, you must present:

  • Residents: a valid identification document (DNI, NIE, passport, residence permit or driver's license).
  • Non-residents with businesses or properties on the island: a document proving it (tax receipt, electricity bill, water bill, etc.).
  • Seasonal workers: employment contract or lease agreement.

To use digital services you must have a valid card from a library in the Balearic Islands.

  • User: your library card code (for example: J0000).
  • PIN: you can get it on the CABIB home page, in the Registered Users section.

  • Up to 7 documents from the same library.
  • Up to 10 documents in total if they are from different libraries.

Each document can be renewed up to three times, provided it is not reserved by another user.

Yes. You can reserve any document:

  • CABIB: search the catalog, manage your user account, renew loans, reserve documents, etc.
  • eBiblio Balearic Islands: borrow e-books, audiobooks, digital newspapers and magazines, etc.
  • eFilms Balearic Islands: online movie, documentary, and series streaming platform.
To access, you only need your library card number and PIN.
